- Phra Mae Phosop, the Rice Goddess, is the guardian deity of crops representing women who have influenced of believes and thoughts since historical periods.
- International Women's Day, World Women's Day or Women's Day are the names of a world day that is celebrated annually on March 8th. It was created as an initiative by socialist organizations in the period before the First World War in the fight for equal rights, the right to vote for women and the emancipation of working women. Women's Day was held for the first time on March 19th, 1911. In 1921, its date was finally set to March 8th by a resolution of the Second International Conference of Communist Women.
- The United Nations (UN) also chose this date in the International Year of Women 1975 as the "United Nations Day for Women's Rights and World Peace" and held a celebration for the first time on March 8th, 1975. In mid-1975, the first UN World Conference on Women was held in Mexico City, followed by the "UN Decade of Women" (1976-1985).
