- In 2025, the two countries will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
- The design employs the Naga as a symbol deeply rooted in the beliefs of the peoples on both sides of the Mekong River. The Naga is revered. as a guardian of the Mekong, a protector of Buddhism, and a bringer of happiness to the faithful.
- The Laos stamp features a Naga of the Virupaksha, while the Thai stamp depicts Phaya Si SattaNakharat. Together, these designs embody the shared spiritual heritage and enduring friendship between the two nations.
