Issue Notice:
- The new Techo International Airport (KTI) (TIA) in Cambodia, located 24 km south of Phnom Penh in Kandal Province, officially opened on September 9, 2025.
- It replaces the capital's old airport and is designed as a Class 4F major airport, capable of handling up to 50 million passengers per year once fully operational.
- The design, by the British architectural firm Foster and Partners, reflects traditional Cambodian architecture.
- The project cost approximately US$2 billion and is part of a strategy to boost tourism and the economy.
